The Tar River Reading Council (TRRC) is a local council and affiliate of the North Carolina Reading Association and the International Literacy Association. TRRC was organized in 2009 and serves North Carolina literacy educators in Pitt and Beaufort Counties in North Carolina. Our mission is to promote literacy for ALL!

They encourage professional interaction among individuals and organizations involved with literacy to provide resources for exemplary literacy practices and habits.
